Maruti kicks off production of new Swift at its Manesar plant.the current Swift was launched in 2005 in both petrol and diesel variants. The replacement will offer both engine options. Till the very end, Maruti sold about 12,000 units a month of this hatch which achieved cult status.
The all new Swift looks similar in styling to the old model being phased out but is; in fact, build on an all-new platform. Each body panel is new and bigger than its predecessors in every dimension. The new interiors get some cues styling from the large Kizashi saloon, particularly in the centre console.
