Simple Chicken Leg/Tangdi Roasted + Shallow Fried Recipe

1. I got 5 pre-marinated Chicken Leg pieces from Hypercity, Goregaon

OR

Alternatively, you can buy 3-4 leg pieces. Get the following ingredients:

  • 2-3 tablespoons oil, preferably olive oil
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Black pepper powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Some salt

Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl. Thoroughly apply the marinade on all the chicken leg pieces and leave the pieces to rest in the bowl. Put the bowl in a freezer for 2-3 hours.

2. Remove the chicken pieces and let them thaw (attain a normal temperature).

3.Put some water in a pressure cooker. Place the chicken in a stainless steel or any cooker friendly bowl and steam it in the cooker. Let it steam on a medium flame till you hear 3 whistles.

4.Remove the steamed chicken. Take a pan. Put some olive oil in the pan and shallow fry the chicken on a medium flame to give it that crispy brown coating.

5.Foodgasm: Serve the crispy, tender chicken legs with chapatti, bread, or rice.
